I'm Pete Sampson, joined by Tim Priester and Tim O'Malley.

We've got a recruiting segment as our Jake Brown is down in Texas, so we got him on the phone to talk a little bit about three commitments he's seeing and sort of the state of Notre Dame's class overall. Obviously, we've got questions

for our readers. You might guess the tenor of those at two and five, but first let's get

into sort of Notre Dame coming off the bye week, previewing Miami a little bit.

The rivalry?

Do we want to talk about the rivalry? No.

Because the players don't know a damn thing about it.

Although Geron Jones did admit that he was slightly aware of it because his dad was a Notre Dame fan,

his older brother liked Miami, and Geron was like, could not figure out why his dad liked Notre Dame at all,

said the uniforms were playing, they got nothing going on, like, what is this about?

He did say he watched the U-304-30s, but I really think that's the extent of knowing anything

about Notre Dame Miami the series.

He was a freshman on the 2012 team, so maybe that counts a little bit.

But yeah, it's still an interesting game from a football perspective,

but certainly the work Notre Dame has to do is ubiquitous right now.

Those are historical footnotes and they're fun for those of us that

lived it. It has absolutely nothing to do with this game whatsoever. Um, you know, it's a Miami team

that is healthy as Notre Dame is, Miami is the exact opposite. They're absolutely beaten up. They may get

a defensive lineman or two back this week.

But if you remember before the season started, Mohamed, their defensive end,

and Jermaine Grace, their linebacker were kicked off the team.
