Welcome to a special edition of the Friday Slamma Jam here on that it can be a daily on today's show.

We're talking Hornets.

Goodness gracious, what a game the Hornets had the other night. Now we actually know their opponent. And so we're going to talk about these Charlotte Hornets with our friend Richie Randall. And then we're going to do some trivia. And you know what? This is not your normal edition. We're just going straight to the wheel of fandom. So I'm going to go to Alex to introduce the Charlotte Hornets. That's right, Andrew. It's time for the Wheel of Fandom. The weekly segment where we spin a wheel, it lands on a team, and we become fans of that team for the next week. Last week, the wheel landed on the Atlanta Hawks, but we didn't feel like doing it. And in our defense, the Hawks didn't feel like doing it either, choosing to rest all

their players in the final game.

We instead abandoned the rules of the wheel for the first time ever, selecting the Hornets

instead, and we were rewarded for our lapse in integrity by getting one of the crazier

games of the year between the Hornets and the

heat and the 19-10 game. I almost blame myself. I almost blame myself when the heat were up big and

like toward the end of that game. I was like, I can't believe that. This was us. We did this.

Yeah, speaking of that, the heat were up six with a minute 42 left in the game, a 97.5% win

probability, but the Hornorns didn't give up.

Hitting a couple threes, including an absolutely wild one from Kobe White in the corner

that helped the Hornets push the game to overtime. In O.T, it looked like the Hornets had

taken control before Tyler Hero hit a three and then was fouled on a three by Lamello Ball,

a series of events that led to Miami taking

the lead 126 to 125. But in the end, it was Lamello, making up for the foul on the previous play

and sinking a tough layup before the heat's final chance was blocked at the buzzer. The Hornets,

when their first playing game in franchise history and move on to face the Orlando Magic who did not

look good against the sexers. They faced them on Friday night with a chance to secure the

eight seed and make the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season. Per cleaning

the glass, the Hornets have the fifth ranked offense and 11th ranked defense. Andrew at the Hornets

are our favorite team.
