So great to be back with you here on the Cole Case Christianity Podcast. Thanks for joining us. I am Jay Warner Wallace.

We're going to try to cover a bunch of stuff today, and we'll see how far we get.

But I wanted us to, first of all, be, express my gratitude and thankfulness early that we got home last week.

What a crazy week it was. It's Friday night tonight and it's late, so I'm kind of getting this podcast out either late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

But a week ago tonight, we were in Dallas, my son and I, returning from a big event with Josh McDowell.

And sure enough, we hit an ice storm that came in on, I think Wednesday or Thursday of that week.

We were there Thursday and Friday and Dallas, we had visited my dad out in Northeast Texas before that.

But man, I have never experienced a more harrowing four hours and 15 minutes getting 30 miles from Plano, Texas to Dallas Fort Worth airport.

And conditions that were just horrific trying to drive and it took forever just to get to the airport.

And I thought for sure, as I'm sitting there at the airport, I'm getting close to it on the highway.

I mean, this ice was incredible. And there's a lot of bridges and you think, well, if you've never been in IC, I mean, for us in Southern California, we never experienced any of this.

So it was really a first for me to, you know, number one to be in this kind of temperature is in the teens.

When you're in Southern California, if it's 60, you're like, they can, hey, winter is here, right?

So to be in the teens for us is pretty unusual.

So we were there underdressed, as you might imagine, in a rental car trying to get from Plano, Texas back to DFW.

And if you've ever been a DFW, you know that they've got a terminal, which is separate from the car return.

And there's a shuttle that takes you back and forth. It's about maybe two miles from the shuttle where it lands to run a car and the actual gates of the airport.
