Keyanth

The day after Raina left, then arrived at the bookshop.

The morning dawned bright and cheery, as summer days in Tawny apparently did.

Kianth started by checking Raina's griffin egg, which surprise had not moved at all, since it was an egg. Satisfied her girlfriend

wouldn't be irritated at her neglect. Kianz slipped the moonstone around her neck,

prepared a cup of tea, and retreated to their back patio to bask in the sun.

She absently tapped against her moonstone, a long distance good morning to Rana, and enjoyed the nice weather until Rana tapped a response.

The pendant thrummed warm against her chest, and Kianth smiled into her mug.

If all went well, they'd be leaving Khyeran today and heading southwest to Wellia.

Another long day of flying would get them there, and then they'd be at the whim of the council.

To keep busy, Kianth was planning to visit that secret room below the

church, hunt for more information on the dragon eggs. If alchemy was involved, Kianth wouldn't be able to help

much, but there was a small chance her connection with dragon magic would offer new insight. Plus,

she really wanted to see the creepy underground room.

Hopefully, that alchemy spell just stored the magic, enforced the dragon babies inside into a

state of stasis. That would explain why three newly hatched dragons weren't terrorizing some

innocent town yet.

With her tea finished, her moonstone silent, and little else to do,
