the weird and wonderful to quote the New Sounds website music headed our way. First

up I think is a special concert a week from Friday?

November 3rd at Carnegie Hall, Kronos Quartet

celebrating 50 years, half a century of revolutionizing

the way a string quartet can look and sound and

Brian perhaps even more important who gets to write for a string quartet I mean they

have just kind of blown the doors off that format by

commissioning and performing works from people around the world and this this event

on November 3rd on the big stage of Carnegie is likely to be a real gathering of the tribes, you

know, not just classical composers like Terry Riley, but traditional and folk musicians

from around the world as well all with the Kronos Quartet.

Right because if experienced musicians, well I guess like you say it's about who gets to write for a string quartet.

Yeah.

So, so what's one example of something that's before we move on to the next that.

Yeah, so I can I mean there are many examples.

They have commissioned music from a Syrian wedding singer, a queer black bluegrass

player named Jake Blunt who will join them on stage. There's there's music that draws on South Asian classical music and there will be a big jam session
