Penelpy whine to her sister Zoe as the two of them lied face first on the couch.

It was a cool September day.

The gray sky dry, but dreary.

Okay, you two.

Time to shake off those lazy bones.

Their mom called out to them.

But mom! Zoe protested, there's nothing to do!

Sure there is. Go outside, maybe go for a walk and find an adventure.

Then she handed them their shoes and shooed them out the door.

Nelpy and Zoe started walking around their

neighborhood hoping to find some of their friends along the way, but there didn't seem to be anyone out on this grade A besides them.

They walked past quiet yards and houses. Even the birds and

squirrels in the trees seem to be extra sleepy today. If we don't see anything exciting by the time we get to the corner, let's just turn around.
