Hello and welcome back to Not Another One for our weekend episode, we covered the tumultuous international scene and Starama's reactions to it earlier in the week.

0:22.6

But on this one, we thought we'd do something rather different because there's so much going on,

0:26.5

which is think about how we're actually getting our information,

0:30.5

what we're finding nutritious in a new sense to digest as we try to analyse all these complicated things

0:37.1

that are going on internationally and domestically,

0:39.2

and to ask the question, can political journalism cope with the present moment?

0:46.3

And, you know, as part of that, we thought we'd also share with you some of the things that we're reading and consuming

0:51.6

that we're finding helpful and enjoyable.

0:55.6

And, you know, maybe that's a source of comfort as well as, you know, professional utility in these difficult times.

1:05.7

The way you said, do you know, then?

1:07.2

Yeah.

1:07.5

1:09.1

1:10.0

But that's quite good. We did have a listener saying that was quite a good, ASMR, you opening a can. I think me mumbling over a chocolate brownie would be less so. And Steve, you're joining us from the Al-Garve again this week. And do you, are you enjoying the fruits of the Algarb while we're talking?

1:45.2

I'm enjoying the grapes from the Algarb and the form of a glass of wine.

1:50.9

But by the time some people will be listening to this, I will be back in London.

1:57.6

So, you know, this is not a particularly long break, but it's great to be recommended.

2:04.4

Well, good for you for getting away. I'm hoping you're going to deteriorate over the course of the podcast,

2:09.1

Steve. You're going to start slurring by the end. I'll probably become more sensible.

2:13.8

It's going to be like that wonderful pit of footage of, is it Oliver Reed, I think, who's on news night or something and gets drunk.

2:20.3

No, it's called After Dark. After Dark, that's right.

2:23.3

On Channel 4 where it just went on for hours and if you were drinking, by the end you were absolutely pissed and he was.
