And Woj, what is the question that is burning in your soul this week?

The question that I have is, does a democracy, and specifically a U.S. democracy,

survive the GOP assault? And I'll be honest, Danielle, right now sitting here, June 1st,

recording a day before the podcast drops.

I don't know.

I don't think so.

And I'm not a cynic.

And you know, I'm an optimist, but we like to keep it real here.

We like to call it the comment in the sky.

But the reason I posed this question, and we were talking about this right before we started recording, is there's just some news that dropped today, right?

So there's this great reporting by Heidi Prisbola, who is now with Politico.

She was with NBC.

And she has tapes that reveal that the GOP plans to contest elections.

The way they are doing this is they're assembling this multi-pronged network, an army of soldiers, right?

So they're basically recruiting activists to be poll workers who, by the way, all believe in the big lie and all the conspiracy theories, right?

And they're going to be in Democrat heavy areas.

Those poll workers then are going to muck it up and, you know, complain about fraud and they're going to basically connect with the GOP lawyers.

And then they're going to do these litigations.

And then these party federally district attorneys are going to intervene to block vote counts at certain precincts.

And then you're going to have this party loyalists, right, these right-wingers
