you're hearing a lot from Democrats these days.

But do wealth taxes actually work?

Are they good for New York?

Or are they just going to send the rich and their tax revenue to Florida?

So, Catherine, Mom Downey's big tax day message wasn't just tax the rich.

It was even more specific than that. It was, let's tax this one very specific rich guy. He was

standing in front of Ken Griffin's apartment. Aren't there laws that say basically the government

can't tax just one guy?

Yeah.

I mean, this is obviously he has the cover of having just been, it was a for instance.

It just so happened.

This guy was an example of the law.

But there is a point where you're getting a very, very narrow pool of victims on your tax. And in New York's

case, it is people who own real estate worth more than $5 million who also do not have New York

as their primary residence. So that's like not a ton of people. And the part of the part of the

tax day message that kind of cracked me up is he was like, they are reaping the incredible financial
