Can you be a spiritual person and a Trump supporter?

In other words, is it possible to be deeply connected to your inner work and practice meditation and believe in higher consciousness while also identifying as MAGA?

Or is that somehow oxymoronic?

And I'm posing this question because for a lot of people, especially a lot of so-called spiritual people, the answer seems obvious. Of course you can't be MAGA and be spiritual, right? Spiritual

people are all about peace and love and unity, whereas Maga is about

division and power and disruption. Therefore, how can you be spiritual and someone who supports

Trump? When most of us think of spirituality, we picture someone who may even reject organized religion,

at least the fundamentalist version of organized religion, and maybe we embrace practices like yoga and meditation.

It's someone who reads self-help books and spiritual books, someone who make on a silent retreat, someone who wears

mala beads instead of a red maga hat, someone who identifies maybe as a vegetarian.

And they talk a lot about climate change and saving the animals.

Maybe they have a soft voice, maybe they're pacifists.

Maybe they talk a lot about things like energy and healing.

But I would argue that from a spiritual perspective, none of those behaviors or characteristics

are what actually makes someone, quotes, spiritual.

But we'll get back to that in just one second. First, let's

break down what it means to be Maga. So Maga stands for Make America Great Again. And it's usually

someone who identifies as a Trump supporter. For that type of person, what's usually important is

they believe strongly in American exceptionalism.

They usually don't like political elitists.

They want to help protect U.S. jobs.

MAGA people oftentimes advocate for strict immigration enforcement and secure borders.
