You didn't interview with this one woman who had an NDE, and you asked about grief and she said, man, on the other side, they look at grief kind of like a kid that's crying over the candy bar that they want in the store.

Here you are, the grief guy, bringing this forward.

That's an analogy I use with my clients all the time. Because I look at us as human beings.

We're basically toddlers.

We don't understand what's going on.

If you look at the data, you look at the evidence, what mediums tell us, what people

that have near-death experience tell us, they're like, look, you guys are taking this way

too seriously.

It's not like they don't care.

Just like when your toddler fell down and skinned your knee, you cared about it.

You just weren't as upset as she was.

Certainly, Alex, when I mentioned control over the natural world, I was referring not only to the scientific and technological aspects of control, but also to the broader implications of power dynamics and societal structures.

This reductionist view also

paves the way for a worldview that values efficiency, productivity, and material progress over

more intangible aspects of human existence, such as creativity, spirituality, and emotional

well-being. In this sense, the push to reduce consciousness to a solely material phenomenon

can be seen as part of a larger drive towards increased control and domination, both over the
