Dr. Berg talks about if kids can do intermittent fasting. Absolutely yes, especially if they are overweight. Start with three meals a day and no snacks in between. You can add keto desserts they can have with their meals. If you have a kid that is doing sports, he or she can still do Intermittent fasting (3 meals a day) but add some starch to their diet. Such as red potatoes, yam with butter, wild rice, beans, and Ezekiel bread.
