Jake, there is a lot to unpack here. It has been a wild 24 hours. I wish we could say we didn't see it coming. Speaker Mike Johnson's more than

1,500 page overstuffed CR officially died on Wednesday, less than a day after the congressional

leadership posted online. This came after a quick recap. Republicans were aghast at the size and the scope of the bill.

People were trashing at the minute it was out there. Then, of course, you had Elon Musk,

followed by President-elect Donald Trump and VP-elect J.D. Vance, putting the final nails in the

coffin. But this is a big deal, right?

It's Thursday, December 19th.

Government funding runs out at the end of the day, tomorrow, and we don't have a plan.

Yes, that's right.

That is very true.

So, okay.

We made the case yesterday, much to the chagrin of, of some in the House Republican leadership,

who I was, I was dealing with them yesterday morning after the AM edition yesterday came out.

This plan that Mike Johnson put forward, the plan that is now dead, never made
