Thank you for joining us for pant suit politics. Thank you for joining us today. It is the Friday before the 2024 Iowa

Caucasus the first time since the 1960s that Democrats have not had that state first on their primary calendar, but Republicans still do.

And while the result seems predictable right now, we would really love for Iowans to shake up the race.

Love it.

We were intrigued and given a dose of hope from a focus group conducted by Kristen Soltis

Anderson and we wanted to spend some time on that focus group before we share a conversation with Dr. Andy McGuire who we had the pleasure of meeting in Iowa during the last cycle. Dr McGuire has served as the Democratic Party Chair during a caucus,

so she has lots of expertise and was gracious enough

just before the holidays to give us a view from the ground in Iowa and we're excited to share that

conversation with you. Outside of politics we're going to talk about the final

season of the crown because I actually watched it because I had strep this

week that's the only way this would have happened. But I guess you're welcome, Sarah, from my disease.

Before we dive into our conversations, we wanted to say, say you know surrounding the beginning of

this presidential cycle is a tough time out there there's just a lot of big

feelings or deflated feelings as the case may be about this election season and we know that shows up in a lot of different ways at colleges and at corporations and in different community organizations if you need some help navigating that we are here for you.
