Today, Imran Khan says he's on a mission to save Pakistan.

So why is the country in chaos?

He's pitched himself as Pakistan's number one hero,

the former cricket superstar and former prime minister,

who has inspired millions to rally for his cause.

His appeal is one of independence.

Independence from slavery, as he calls it, independence from what has held us back for so many years.

That appeal is very, very recognized by the massacres he appeals to because

the people of Pakistan are looking for a Messiah.

They are looking for someone to pull them out of the situation they are in.

And at the moment, Imran Khan appears to be that only light.

But last week, Imran Khan was dramatically arrested in the courthouse

and hauled out by dozens of paramilitaries in full riot gear.

He was locked up.

Various accused of being involved in corruption, terrorism, blasphemy,

in more than 100 criminal cases that have been filed against him.

The gap between us and all the other parties is so huge now

that they are petrified that they will be wiped out.

Khan denies all the charges.

And his arrest didn't go down well.
