0:06.1	Are we allowed to disagree with our parents or our elders?
0:11.3	Well, the Qur'an teaches us to be kind to our parents
0:16.4	and the Qur'an teaches us to be kind to adults, those who are older than us, to respect them
0:23.4	and to listen to them.
0:25.2	But definitely if they are wrong we should not agree with them.
0:30.8	When you know that your parent is wrong you do not agree with something you know is wrong.
0:37.2	So you are allowed to disagree with your parents.
0:41.9	You are allowed to disagree with the elders.
0:46.2	You are allowed to disagree with your teachers.
0:49.6	You are allowed to disagree with your mentors.
0:53.4	We are all human beings and we all can make mistakes.
0:57.3	So if there is a mistake or something wrong, something disobedience of Allah Subhanahu
1:04.8	wa Ta'ala that you notice, you cannot just agree with it because in that particular case
1:10.6	you will be responsible in the eyes of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala for having agreed with
1:16.8	something that is de-spleasing to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
1:21.9	So many times people say, well look that is your father, just listen to him or that is your
1:25.7	mother or that is an older person or that is your teacher, that is your ustad or that is
1:29.9	a sheikh etc.
1:31.4	To be honest with you, there are human beings, that is what we should realise.
1:36.3	And yes when it comes to Allah and his messenger, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, we do not disagree
