0:20.1	their own words. So what's time I was on the B43 to go to my MMA class and I saw, you know, two people were
0:30.9	one guy running up on another guy and then there was a fight that was occurring
0:35.1	and just knowing that, you know, that happens all the time and, you know, the person that
0:40.9	was getting, being up, he was very innocent in that moment and I think it was a
0:45.6	racially motivated attack I just really felt bad because I knew that you know I could have stepped in but I couldn't at the same time
0:52.2	just because of you know I could have stepped in but I couldn't at the same time just because of you know my age and
0:55.7	and I didn't feel comfortable stepping in with maybe the consequences I can go with it but just
1:00.1	seeing that somebody can be just be so mad and they be able to take out
1:03.8	their anger on somebody that's just innocent kind of broke me that day.
1:08.3	If people didn't respect everyone then we'd be in chaos and we're pretty much in chaos right
1:14.6	now like sometimes I get so worried about the world that I have a panic attack
1:18.8	like on the news sometimes sometimes you'll see stuff about climate change and some commercials talk about plastic and how it's killing animals and there's one thing that I saw was like a few like I don't know what year but somehow and somewhere in the future like there'll be more plastic in the ocean than like fish or marine life and that scares me because you know that's something that we use like the environment is what we use and we live in it.
1:45.0	So the fact that we're like destroying it and it's going to be destroyed somehow in the future, if we keep this up,
1:50.0	it kind of, it scares me sometimes because like I want a future and sometimes I feel like it might not happen.
1:57.4	Thomas, Jillian, Emmy, Savannah, and Lisa are all currently in middle school or high school in and around New York.
2:04.3	Their parents practice Buddhism and most of them are beginning their own exploration of
2:09.5	it too. We sat down on a recent Saturday to talk about what's going on in the world,
