Hey, everybody, welcome to Film House.

This week we are talking about Dune, which just got a new trailer.

The movie comes out October 22nd, 2021, from Denny Villeneuve, who you know from arrival,

Sicario, Prisoners, Enemy, En Sondi,

Brillade Runner, 2049. It's composed by Hans Zimmer, so a lot of Brahms in it. And it is the first

of possibly two movies. We don't know yet. We'll talk about that later. And it stars

Timothy Shalameh, Zendea, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Scarsguard, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason

MoMAO. It's a stacked cast. And it's, of course, a feature adaptation of Frank Earbert's

1965 science fiction novel about the son of a noble family who is entrusted with the

production of the most valuable asset and vital element in the galaxy, the spice milange. It's been adapted

in the past. I will talk about those a little bit too, because to this point, it hasn't really

had a successful film adaptation. It's generally considered a failure. So this is a big gamble.
