You wrote a widely read article in The New York Times that I'd encourage folks to read

and an appearance on the Bill Mars show.

What's the message to Democrats from your book?

I grew up in a house district and a senate district in Maine that voted for Trump and we just went out and started talking to folks and listening to people who did vote for Trump.

And we won in both of those seats. There were Trump signs next to Chloe signs.

You can win Trump voters or you thought you won actual Trump voters over?

Yes, we do.

And really, this conversation around the Democratic Party and its relationship to rural America is an extremely important one.
