and Terrell Gibbons, one that was released very early in the life of this podcast, and

that many of you may not have yet heard.

The first chapter of Genesis says, in the beginning, God said, let there be light, and there

was light.

God created this extraordinary world, the scriptures tell us, through the power of his word.

It makes all the more sense, then, that a professor of comparative arts and letters, like

George Hanley, would spend so much time thinking about and enjoying creation.

After serving as Associate Dean of the College of Humanities from 2015 to 2018, George was

appointed Associate Director of the Faculty Center at BYU.

He's also the author of several books, including Home Waters, the novel American Fork, and

two Maxwell Institute Living Faith Books, if truth were a child, and most recently, the

hope of nature.
