Welcome to this week's episode where I welcome Whitney, who is a registered dietitian and mom,

0:20.5

and one of the founders of plant-based juniors and co-author of the new book The Plant-Based Baby

and toddler, and she's joining me today to talk all about plant-based nutrition for our children.

0:32.1

Thank you so much for joining me, Whitney. Thank you so much for having me, Mona,

0:35.6

to punch you to chat with you today. Well, I'm so excited about this because even as a pediatrician,

0:40.5

I don't know nearly as much as I would want to know about plant-based nutrition. I just think it's

0:44.8

1:40.6

was written 10 years ago by a dietitian. And some of the information was already outdated.

1:46.7

So Alex and I, we had actually met about 10 years prior at a conference in state in

1:52.6

touch over the years. And it was when I was pregnant and Alex had her newborn son, Vander,

1:58.0

that we started getting to talking. And we were like, what are you doing about this? Have you heard

2:02.6

this information? Because it's one thing to follow a plant-based diet on your own. Feel really

2:08.2

confident about that, which Alex and I have been doing. But when you have a life in your hand,
