Katie's off I guess she's allowed to go on vacation with her family?

Is that that's a thing? I mean we're letting it slide this one time.

All right, fair enough. Really? Yeah. By the way, if I sound different today, it's because I went to the gym this

morning and I really never do that and I just

wanted to brag right on a podcast. Are you elliptical what are we talking about?

This is like a short run. Okay. Okay that's more than I did. But it was something. Yeah. Well I guess it's okay that Katie's out this week because it's kind of a quiet time right now. We're post Oscars, we're pre-film festivals, although we will be talking about KN later this episode.

But briefly, there was this news this week that John Bailey, who's the president of the Academy

of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, had been under investigation for a sexual harassment claim,

but the Academy just cleared him.

But I feel like we have to talk about that because like all eyes are on that stuff now and

to have it be the president of the Academy that feels like a big deal, right?

Yeah, it's the first test of their new rules they had to come up with

rules in the midst of you know everything that's been going on in the me too moment here and then

the very first test is the new president, great, just what you wanted to deal with.

But, you know, Rebecca Keegan broke the story over the weekend that he had written a letter really just saying,

like, I didn't do this and this is a this is a very tricky

thing obviously for for people who are accused and we've seen a lot of people sort of
