Well Casey we have some news about the show to start the show with this week.

Yeah, but first I want to tell you a parable.

Oh, I love stories Kevin.

but it does cost us something to make and we have to pay our rent and there's salaries for the

employees and so we actually want you to chip in a little bit for the coffee.

Well that only seems fair, Kevin. Yes. So that is a vague

approximation of what is happening with this podcast and with all New York Times podcasts. So The Times is creating a brand new audio subscription.

This is a way to support what we do here on Hard Fork and what our colleagues do on
