As the recent elections demonstrated, the country seems fed up with the Trump administration

and hungry for a change, but the Democrats, and more generally, the left, seem to be beset

by divisions and lamentations in general.

The left seems somewhat stalled and unable to take direct advantage of Trump's growing unpopularity.

Jerusalem Dempstis is the founder and editor of The Argument, a new online magazine that

launched late this summer. She previously worked at Vox at the Atlantic Magazine, where she wrote

about the economy, politics, and housing. In 2023, Jerusalem received the American

Society of Magazine Editor's Next Award for Journalists Under 30.
