If it's okay with all of you, just really for a bit of fun,

in a moment I'm going to do an incoming Labor Prime Ministers opening statement,

the equivalent to Trump's opening couple of days.

You know, what would be in radical verve,

the equivalent of what Trump is doing

from the kind of American nationalist right

in his opening days in power?

Because there is one thing I admire about it and that is

its sheer radical self-confident verve now it's it's heading for catastrophe in some areas I think

and quite speedily but he he has been elected. And instead of saying,

oh, well, what about those kind of wavering Democrats who we've got to keep on board and, oh, you know,

what about CNN? They gave me a hard time last time. I better be careful to try and keep CNN.

None of those calculations

which paralyze incoming Labour prime ministers, he has just gone for it in ways that are alarming,

as I say, beyond that kind of ambitious sweep.

So what would have been the equivalent on Friday, July the 5th

as we awoke to the Labour landslide?
