I'm going to share some things with you tonight out of Deuteronomy

chapter 2.

I've been studying in all of these things.

And in Deuteronomy, let me just summarize

that the book of Deuteronomy is Moses speaking right before his death.

If you read Genesis Exodus, Seviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, in Numbers,

the Lord had told him it's time for you to die and you can't go into the promised land

because you disobeyed me and instead of speaking to the rock you smote it. And so the Lord had

already spoke to him and told him you are going to die and I'm not going to allow you to go into

the promised land. And that was in the book of numbers. And so the book of Deuteronomy is Moses

just giving last instructions to all of the Israelites right before he died, and he went back and is rehearsing

everything that God has done and explaining it to him. So it's the whole book of Deuteronomy is either

one day or two days, something like that, him just rehearsing all of the things that God had been

doing and giving them instructions and exhorting them to go ahead and serve the Lord.

So in Deuteronomy chapter two, he's recounting after they came out of the land of Egypt,

did you know they went to the Mount Sinai and the Lord gave the Ten Commandments

and it even says that on the exact one year anniversary of them coming

out of the land of Egypt, they already had received the Ten Commandments. They had already built

the Tabernacle, and they did all of those things. So there was a year of them going to Mount Sinai,
