I'd like to tell you about a friend of mine. Her name was Sarah,

and we met a long time ago when I was a little kid. I've always loved living here in freshwater, and as you know, there's a lot to love about it. But when I was younger, one of my favorite things happened every summer.

Camp freshwater.

It was the best.

Think long days swimming in freshwater lake, day hikes up Ice River Mountain, smores by the

campfire, and of course, making lots of new friends.

Some people go somewhere else to go to sleepaway camp.

I felt pretty lucky that my camp was in the same town that I lived in.

One summer, it was my very first year as a camper at Camp Freshwater.

A lot of my friends had gone the summer before and had an amazing time.
