Summary

Abby and Robbie Martin give tribute to renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, talk about Cambridge Analytica using Facebook data to target voters, and how the company acts as a shadowy private intelligence firm that carries out psyops and regime change ops around the world at the behest of Robert Mercer and other oligarchs. Abby explains the most amazing underwater discoveries in the new Blue Planet series, including an octopus creating a sea shell suit and the vast communication networks that exist across ocean species. They talk about the new Waco miniseries, and the ATF/FBI attack on the compound where 80 people were massacred, the majority women and children. In light of John Bolton being appointed as Trump's National Security Advisor, they describe the bizarre trajectory of Alex Jones and Roger Stone--going from 'fighting the deep state' to building an open alliance with Bush-era neoconservatives. So I guess the only news we didn't talk about in our last two podcasts was,

0:40.8

famous quantum physicist, astrophysicist, Stephen Hawking, died at the age of 76.

0:49.2

Just obviously one of the most brilliant scientists alive during our lifetimes a brief history of time

0:57.8

was one of the most influential books about space or even science and you know they came out

1:05.1

maybe in the last 40 years arguably and back on the aro morris, once again, there was a, there's a great

1:11.9

documentary made of the brief history of time that Stephen Hawkins is in, made by Earl Morris.

1:16.9

I recommend everybody watch that. Who hasn't seen that? In Stephen Hawking, I mean, he was probably

1:22.0

one of the first people that I read about sort of the idea of the unified theory, that theory of

1:27.0

everything, that sort of there wasn't just these, you know, theories behind certain isolated aspects of our physical universe, but that there was a theory that bound everything together as a unified theory.

1:39.2

That sort of led me down a path of being really interested in quantum physics for a while and, you know,

1:44.9

admittedly got into some hippie shit when I was doing a lot more psychedelics and reading Stephen

1:51.2

Hawking and, you know, reading Swamp Thing and Alan Moore kind of all at the same time.

1:56.0

And it was sort of like a, you know, it sort of was a nice component to like that journey of

2:00.2

mine is like reading

2:01.1

about quantum physics and reading his stuff.

2:04.5

It took me on many different paths.

2:07.3

And something that I only learned about him later in life, which I'll let you talk about, Abby,
