And I got some good news for you. And I got some bad news for you, Boston.

The good news. Ted Johnson's here.

The bad news, I'm here. It's Matt McCarthy and Ted Johnson in for Felger and Mazz today. What's up, Ted? How you doing? Matthew, how are you doing, buddy? It is, uh, it's been a minute. It has been a little while. Good to see it. But it's good to see you. Um, and I always enjoy work with. I think we were together a few weeks ago. So, you know, we were, we were chatting earlier today. And there seems like a lot of baseball stuff. That's your, that's your game. We all know that. And so I'm kind of excited to talk to us about the Red Sox and what kind of boom's doing and just the overall. What we saw yesterday is so disappointing and i and i worry that that's that is a going to be a trend here so i'm i'm excited to talk to you about that um today

matthew because uh because again i know you're a big red sox guy and you have passion around that

so i'm looking forward to it man oh yeah we've uh we've got a lot to get into when it comes

to the red sox and their performance

since the trading deadline. But you know what it is? It's an agenda free Friday. So that means

that you set the agenda. You know, I've often found that agenda free Fridays are generally

the shows, believe it or not, despite the moniker, with actually sometimes the most agenda.

I will say, though, very little agenda today from at least me or Ted or really anybody.

So we will get to you after we have our opening take. So, Ted, where are you starting today? I'm going to start with Cam Newton. And what happened yesterday in practice? And I was there. It was though yesterday. It did midday. And I got to see summer practice. And I just, it was interesting to watch his, his behavior in practice. And then you heard his comments in in this in the press conference that he had with the press afterwards that was got zone in my our attention if you will just kind of the energy and the way in that he was delivering his message it just seemed like he was a little bit off a little frustrated um and just a little agitated from his performance that day in practice.

But I wasn't quite sure, and I didn't want to, like, totally dump on cam.

So I gave him the benefit of the doubt yesterday, just hearing that press conference.

And then I was at the gym yesterday, and I heard on the radio, Jimmy Stewart say something about him getting a text from someone who was in the locker room after practice yesterday.

It talked about body language.
