Auburn added its biggest transfer portal addition in former Michigan State quarterback

Peyton Thorn last week.

Now Thorn has 49 touchdown passes in his career, which is seven times what the Auburn

quarterback room currently has and he also adds a wealth of experience as well as multiple

years to play.

So those would be the most fruitful things that he brings to Auburn, right?

Wrong.

The best part about this addition for Auburn is that it creates the best developing

tool that there is in sports, true competition.

Now before Thorn, it was really Robby Ashford and that was pretty much it.

We've got a young Holden Gerner, but you can't really count on him yet.

But now there will be a true competition that not only nets you will legit starter, but

also provides you with a more than capable backup, which is like finding a unicorn in the

transfer portal era.
