Before we start the show, we just wanted to send out our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Gene O'olivek.

Obviously, somebody that we grew up watching in the 90s wrote shotgun and protected Pavel Buray,

but also broke down barriers as an indigenous, indigenous hockey player. And obviously, too, a fan favorite both in Vancouver and the other places that he played.

Even Andrew Berkshire was like, he played like 30 games in Montreal and we still love them.

He was just a lovable guy and an absolute Vancouver legend. And it's a shame to lose somebody like him.

Feared and respected on and off the ice.

That's right. And he's the definition of a fan favorite in terms of like, he's not the star player on the team, but the fans absolutely adore him.

Exactly. Exactly. And Ethan Bear scored and dedicated it to him, which I thought was pretty cool too.

Okay, so, um, listen, lots to get to because of what happened with the Leafs and the Bruins on Saturday.

Lots to get to in Vancouver. Uh, there's, there's, you know, Connor Bitar.

There's some crazy stuff happening in the Czech junior leagues that we need to discuss as well.

There's a lot on this show, but before we get into any of that, since, you know, we got to kick it off with the Boston Leafs game on Saturday.

I want to, I want to play this for you. Now, Steve, there are certain places that you go to where the accent is somewhat neutral.

They say Southern Ontario is one of those places. They're not a lot of it, not a heavy accent.

But if you go to the East Coast of Canada, you're going to get a very thick East Coast accent, right?

There are 30 East Coast accent. For sure.

For sure. Out West, there is a little bit of one too, although it's still a little bit more neutral.

But where you really get it is, you do get it on the East Coast and you also get it on the upper East Coast of the United States, namely.

Boston. Now, I want you to listen to this reporter who is from the area, who is trying to be neutral with how she says things and listen to the way she says New Hampshire.
