| 0:40.2 | back to your phones, as promised. Let's grab Stephen in Redding on Alex Corr. Go ahead, Steven. How you doing? I just have a quick question about Alex Korra for you guys. Do you guys think that he will make the same bullpen that he did in 2018 with that deep playoff run. Okay, Maz, I'll defer you on that one. He said the same bullpen? The same bullpen? Well, he managed it in the same deft fashion as he did there. I mean, if they get there, my gut would say no, because I'm assuming their rotation won't be as good. Do you think they're going to be any good? |
| 1:44.8 | I don't know yet. I need to see who they get in terms of pitching. So do I think they'll be better than they were a year ago? Yeah. Yeah, I do. I think that J.D. Martinez won't quit this year like he did last year because Cora is going to manage and he'll play for Cora. And so I think that they will be more competitive. Will they be a playoff team? I don't know. I need to see what the personnel looks for like on the pitching staff. Right now the rotations. Eddie Rodriguez-Avaldi. Who's the third? Maybe Tanner Halk. Okay. Okay. I don't know. |
| 1:46.3 | Well, no, I mean, you know. |
| 1:47.8 | Now we're getting into who territory? |
| 1:54.4 | Okay, so this guy was a former first round pick that came up and made a couple starts at the end of the year and did well. |
| 1:55.9 | He pitched very well. |
| 1:58.0 | Now, will he be that in a full season? |
| 1:58.8 | I have no idea. |
| 3:07.5 | And the kid that they got from the Phillies, I say the kid, he's 27 Pavetta, pitch reasonably well too. So let me tell you what I think right now they're going to be. If you were to ask me right now what they're going to be, I would tell you that they're going to be a rotation filled with number three and four starters. That's what they're going to be. Depending on what any Rodriguez is and ultimately sale if you get anything out of him, but I'm not holding my breath. So then why not keep the one that was the most reliable in this crap season in Martine Perez? That move still makes no sense to me. Because, Marie, I think there's a chance to sign him back. I also think that they look at him and say, we can get eight other guys just like him on this market. And they're probably right. But at the end of the day, whether it's Martin Perez or anyone else, I think what you're going to get is a lot of five-inning starters, tops, and a bullpen that I think they're going to try to really build. My guess is they're going to spend their money on relievers. Okay. Get ready for the thing you're talking about, Mike. Feel the excitement. Believe me. I know it. Get ready for it because it's coming. With this team this year, especially, it's coming. Kevin and Foxborough waiting patiently on the Patriots and their 2020 struggles. Kevin, are you there? Yes, sir. I have to show through the phone. So, yeah, I'm 26 years old. I obviously grew up with the pets winning. |
