Rebecca Kersby and most of the program today will be dominated by the dramatic events in the United States over the weekend

when former president and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.

The images of his fist raised in defiance as secret service personnel rushed him off the stage, his face streaked with blood will surely become his campaign poster.

Later in the program, we'll hear from one photographer who captured the moment.

You can actually see the bullet in one image on its

trajectory towards Mr. Trump's head. We'll also be asking what did go wrong with

security? How was a gunman able to get so close and what do we know of

the would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks was just 20 years old what could have been

his motive and of course we'll ask what all this does to the

race for the White House. There's a lot to squeeze in let's begin with a quick look

We noticed a guy crawling, bear crawling, up the roof of the building beside us.

He had a rifle, we could clearly see him with a rifle.

The first thing I saw was him, you know, reach out his fist to the audience, come to find out later that he was saying fight fight.
