Sheehan asked, level of concern that the deal gets done so that the commanders move in by 2030 to the RFK site.

Currently, there are two NFL stadiums under construction.

The bills have broken ground on what's going to be the new Highmark Stadium.

They broke ground just last year, actually a little over year. Bill's have broken ground on what's going to be the new Highmark Stadium.

The projected date of opening is 2026.

That's a three year timeline.

And then in Nashville, they broke ground on the new Nissan Stadium.

And this is just a projection.

But that's a longer timeline.

They broke ground in 2024.

And they say opened hopefully 2027, but it has the window of 2028.

So that's three to four years. I mean, here's why Josh Harrison and the other owners have to be concerned is because

Mayor Bowser's urging the council to pass the deal by July 15th or the deal could be lost.

Mendelsohn, who's the head of the council, told Fox 5 on Monday that after the budget

support act is passed in July, he has no plans to call back the council in August during recess to take a vote on the RFK Stadium bill, which means it could get pushed already to September.

So Harris and his group, I'm sure, look at this like, we're already now two or three months down the road past the timeline.

Like, this is just going to keep getting worse than worse.
