I come from a long line of attorneys in our family.

It's in my blood, which is probably why I love watching crime dramas on TV.

Often at the end of a trial, the defendant must allocate as part of a plea bargain or before

syncing.

An allocation is professing to the judge and allows the defendant to explain what happened.

They often admit specifically, and in great detail, the actions and their reasons for the

crime they committed, in principle, that removes any doubt as to the exact nature of their

guilt.

But that's an illegal proceeding.

Have you ever had to allocate, or profess, or confess, to someone for something you've

done wrong, calling out to them for forgiveness, mercy and grace?

It can be humbling, can't it?

Well, if you have, you're in the right place at the right time.

The theme for this meditation from Romans 10 is, allocation, calling out to the Lord

for his mercy, calling on the Lord for his salvation.
