well hello welcome welcome back to the life of caesar this wasn't supposed to be the last episode of Caligula, but it turns out it probably will be.

If you've been following on Facebook, Ray and I were intending on jumping straight into Claudius

after the last episode you heard on Colligula.

But then I've decided to take a few weeks off and I'm going to drive around the

country with Chrissy and we're going to do some events for my investing podcast with Tony

Kynaston. But then I had reached out to the partial historians who've been on the show before

as suggested that I think we did a show with them. I did a show

with them at the end of Augustus and I thought it might be fun to do a show with them at the end of

Caligula, get their point of view on Caligula. You've heard mine, you've heard Ray's, so I thought

I'd invite them on. So here we are. Here I am. No Ray, because it's an Australian thing,

and they record it in the afternoon on a Sunday, I think,

and it's like 3 a.m. for Ray.
