A new law places restrictions on AI companions. These are people who have artificial intelligence,

boyfriends, or girlfriends, or just friends, and all of this is going to be impacted.

In other news, the government shutdown is still in place. They're trying to renegotiate the terms of getting a funding bill passed,

and members of Congress are using this actually to show the American people exactly where their tax dollars have been going.

And also, the Pentagon has established brand new rules for journalists.

Many legacy outlets are not happy about this, to the extent that many of them are announcing,

they're going to refuse to sign the Pentagon's policy.

People have artificial intelligence, boyfriends, girlfriends, AI friends, I guess people do that.

These could all be impacted by new safety protocols.

And that includes quite a few things, actually. California is now

the very first state in the U.S. to roll all these out, and they say the goal is to protect kids.

I'll add to that that the same language has been used for social monitoring programs on the

internet, and this could apply

for that as well. Let me explain. First off, this is what California Governor Gavin Newsom says.

His official website says, California Governor Gavin Newsom today signed a new landmark legislation

to further strengthen the state's protections for children online and create safeguards for new

and emerging technology such as artificial intelligence.

Meaning, not just for this, but including AI.
