Before I share this episode, I want to share with you a time when I almost killed myself on duty.

So motor vehicle crashes and incidences having to do with motor vehicles are the top reason cops die on duty.

So I'm a young copper. I'm running radar. It's like 5 a.m.

So it's pretty quiet. Not a lot of traffic. I'm on a four lane undivided highway.

Just cruising. I get a car coming towards me. so I'm running, moving radar.

So I'm going the opposite direction of this car coming at me.

And they're going like 68 in a 40 mile an hour zone.

And that's enough to get me excited.

I want to get this speeder.

So they fly by me.

I do the turn.

I do the spin.

And I believe they saw me do the spin and they accelerated even further just to try to get away, obviously.

So I spin.

When you spin, you slow down and then I nail it.

And I'm going, I don't know, probably just shy of 80 miles an hour trying to catch this person,

which we can do legally.

The police can speed, can break motor vehicle law to while they're in the performance of their duties.

So I'm speeding, trying to catch up.

I have my lights going.

Usually this time in the morning there's not a lot of traffic.

I don't have the siren on constantly.
