An atmospheric river has brought havoc all across California, especially Southern California,

resulting in massive damage to homes and communities. But because of the absurdities of the

capitalist insurance market, a huge number of people are being left to fend for themselves amid this disaster.

We need a new system. We need a new society. We need to demand that which may have sounded

impossible even a few weeks ago, but is not only realizable, but an imperative necessity.

huge flooding, 10 inches of rain in a single day. It's a rare level of four of excessive rainfall

risk, and that risk has gone up since Sunday. And the story is a lot of people are going to have a lot

of recovering to do. People are being hurt. Some people have been killed, but massive property damage.
