If you were in America, 30,000 years ago, you might have run into some other humans.

If you did, they would be the first arrivals, right?

They'd likely be the human discoverers of this continent.

But you'd be more likely to run into animals you didn't expect.

Lions and camels and antelopes and other species you did not think ever existed on this side of the

globe, but they did. You'd also run into sloths, the size of Shaquille O'Neal. Beaver is the size of

football players.

Mastodons big enough to win a fight with your car.

Europeans like to talk about how everything's bigger in America, but they would have had a lot

more to talk about back then.

If you walked around enough, right?

If you did enough exploring of this old continent, you might have come upon the corpse of a

mammoth.

Now, a dead mammoth isn't like any other dead animal, right?

A dead mammoth is like a temporary oasis in the food desert.

It's like a random supply drop in Fortnite or PubG or one of these other Gen Z games.
