an MA in English from NYU, and an MFA in fiction from Stony Brook University.

At Stony Brook, she taught undergraduate creative writing, served as an editor and contributing writer at the Southampton Review, and worked as a bookseller at Word and Greenpoint.

She has been the recipient of fellowships and residencies from the Salt and Stahl Foundation and the Vermont Studio Center.
