I have a friend who once, I swear to God this happened. He came to us as his roommates and he was like, you know, I'm going to go into work tomorrow and I'm going to ask for a promotion. I'm just going to go in. I really feel like I deserve a promotion. It's going to go into my manager's office. Tell them why I want a promotion. And he did that.
