Last week, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison brought a new charge, second degree

murder, against Derek Chauvin, the officer who pinned his knee on George Floyd's neck

for nearly nine minutes.

Meanwhile, the protests sparked by the Floyd killing have caused an urgent conversation

around police reform, and there are many voices calling for, quote, defunding the police.
