But, boys, let's start with the big news breaking this morning that Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is expected to miss an

extended period of time, according to Jeff Stotz, who runs in street close. The typical

return timeline for this kind of injury is about a month, which would put Cade's potential

return right at the start of the playoffs. Here's more from Locked-on Pistons on what this means for the Detroit Pistons. There's a very real chance this just ended the Pistons season. The Pistons with Cade on the floor, the offense, when he's on the floor, has a 121.4 offensive rating. That would be the best offense in the NBA. So when K's on the floor, that would be equivalent to the best team offense in the NBA.

When he is off the floor, the offense gets 10 points worse.

It would be a bottom five offense in the NBA when he leaves the floor.

On top of that, the fact the Pistons haven't played that great since the

All-Star break already, all of that stacking on top of each other. And now your superstar player,

who is quite literally the only real shot creator on your team, he is their offensive engine,

he is everything. He controls, he is the only reason why the Pistons offense survives.

If Cade's coming back to game one of the playoffs, maybe it's fine.

But then you've got to take into account he's just missed weeks.

You have to work himself back into shape.

You have to work the rest off of him.
