I was asked to find someone who's very smart and beautiful and intelligent and wonderful.

And I thought of my very good friend, Lori Blackford, who is kind of like a friend and a mentor.

And we met when I was like 21 or 22, not to age both of us, when she was hired to be an advisor on my dad's campaign,

and we just got along really well. And your background is that you're a journalist and a producer

used to work for ABC News and Good Morning America and Diane Sawyer, and you most recently produced

the Showtime show, The Circus, with wonderful people

and politics. Is that a good rundown of your career? It is a good rundown of my career, yes.

The funny thing is, is that Mark McKinnon, who was one of the, who was the original sort of

creator and thought person behind the circus, I actually met on your father's campaign.

So the question that we want to tackle today, which I feel like you and I talk about offline

a lot, is basically why I'm interviewing you on YouTube instead of on cable news and in network

television, like the death of cable news. Don Lemon, who was the host of a CNN primetime show, who was fired because he said some very

incendiary comments about women having expiration dates.

He said it about Nikki Haley, basically saying that, you know, we're just irrelevant,

dried up husks with no purpose after 40.
