He called me up and said that I'm finally going to do a rock movie, a music movie.

I said, no you're not.

We'd always talked about how we hated music films because they were never correct.

And I don't know, having actors and directors who had not really had the experience that we had. So I said, no you're not. He said,

We spent a lot of time together. We rooted for each other as actors he created rock school
