Imagine living in a house that uses no fossil fuels to light, heat, and run the fridge.

That's the goal of net zero.

Sounds a bit chilly.

The whole point was to be able to prove that we could have comfortable, affordable,

functional and that you wouldn't have to sacrifice anything.

How about zero waste? Can we trim our garbage down to zero as well?

Some of us who were in the business at the time said that's a little bit aggressive,

but you can't get halfway there.

You've got to just go for zero.

But it's going to take a million little ways to get there.

Getting down to zero.
