Finals, I'm dealing with a bit of a cold. At least that's what my negative COVID tests have

been telling me. So fingers crossed that it's not positive. But anyways, enough about me.

We should probably talk about basketball, specifically Nick's basketball.

Well, let's take a step back from Nick's basketball for a second because I had a thought in mind.

You know, I've seen a lot of tweets this week and just like running ideas about the Celtics and the Warriors and how this is the right way to build a team.

You know, like they built it from the ground up.

They did everything correctly.

It's homegrown, all this.

And it's true, right?

Like the Celtics and the Warriors did a fantastic job of keeping a lot of their younger players,

nurturing them, developing them, and then eventually

they found ways to break through and get to at least the finals, if you're the Celtics,

and certainly further if you're the Warriors. But there's something that's kind of disingenuous

that I feel like it's getting a bit lost in the fray of it. And it's that both these teams also utilize other avenues to get these players and to make it to where they are.

Right?
