All right. Hi, everybody. I'm Nick Gillespie. This is a special live stream version of the Reason interview. And I am joined today by Jeremiah Johnson, who's a writer at the dispatch and co-founder of the Center for New Liberalism.

refusing to fight the culture war on its own terms.

Okay. So, well, let's start talking about, you know, and hopefully Jeremiah will join us

because his piece, I read these two pieces kind of roughly together, and I think they kind of fit together nicely.

But one of the issues that's in front of us is why has the reactionary right for, which I think is a good term for what we're talking about here,

become so popular among some conservatives and libertarians.

Would you lay out your argument for that?

Yeah, sure. So this is something that actually came to me only, I mean, relatively recently,

five or six years ago. I was completely unaware of what then in the late, you know, 2000s was something that I would later

and others would call the reactionary or dissident right. I had no idea about its existence.

And I guess around 2017, 2018, Michael Anton wrote a review of the Bronze Age Perverts book, Bronze Age Mindset.

And this was really the first time it had come on to my radar, read the review, read the book, and then started seeing all this stuff online.
