Summary
Ex-officer Brett Hankison was sentenced to 33 months in prison in Breonna Taylor's death. Hankison was found guilty of one count of violating Taylor's civil rights after he shot into her apartment in March of 2020. His bullets did not hit anyone and he was responding to gunfire directed at his fellow officers. The DOJ recommended Hankison receive one day in prison. The third officer on duty that night, Louisville Sergeant John Mattingly, called into The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show to share his firsthand account of the raid and a side of the story you probably haven’t heard in the mainstream media.
